Dining with History: Honoring Eleanor Roosevelt
March 16 – March 22, 2025
Join us in celebrating Women’s History Month with a dining experience inspired by Eleanor Roosevelt, one of the most influential first ladies in American history. A diplomat, humanitarian, and tireless advocate for human rights, Eleanor redefined the role of First Lady, using her platform to champion social change both at home and abroad.
This specially curated menu created by Executive Chef Julianne Gutierrez reflects Eleanor’s complex relationship with food—known more for her impact on policy than for her culinary preferences, she often dismissed fine dining until her travels introduced her to international flavors. The meal begins with deviled eggs, a nod to her love of simple egg dishes, followed by Parisian-inspired braised rabbit gnocchi, honoring the European cuisine she grew to appreciate. The experience concludes with a Charlotte Malakoff, a refined French dessert that evokes the culinary traditions she might have embraced in another time.
